Golden Eagles in the Alps

The golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) is an iconic animal of the Alpine range. There are still few data available regarding the actual historical development of the golden eagle population in the Italian Alps. Here an attempt is made to depict the evolution of the spatial distribution of golden eagles in Trentino  in the 20th century.
