Spindle whorl, diam 2.6cm. Flattish base, and rounded but straight-sided top. Largish hole. Made of dark brown clay, very fine and without grits, cf. Kingston Down grave 262, M 6267, with reddish flecks. This one broken on the edge and it can be seen to be clay and not some other substance.Possibly from Beakesbourne?, but Sibertswold according to the Mayer card.
