The PERUSANO study: Context design cards used in participatory co-design activities

The dataset contains a set of visual context design cards which were used as a tool in the co-design component of the PERUSANO project. The 40 design cards comprise 19 cards that represent different stakeholders involved in infant and young child nutrition; 12 cards that represent resources and strategies that could be used to promote healthy infant and young child nutrition, and 9 cards representing technologies that could be employed to promote healthy infant and young child nutrition. The resource is designed to be cut into individual cards (or card/paper or virtual images) prior to use.

The context cards were designed and developed by the authors using a human-centred design process following fieldwork in Huánuco and Lima, Peru, in June 2022.

The context cards were used as a design tool in different phases of a participatory co-design process (for example, ideation workshops, futures workshops and storyboarding workshops) to elicit ideas and discussions, such as identifying key actors and stakeholders, end-users (or beneficiaries) and potential resources or technologies that could be used to support healthy nutrition for infants and young children aged 6-23 months.

Each card is titled in Spanish and contains an illustration in black and white, representing a type of stakeholder, an example of technology, or an existing resource (strategy or programme) in Peru.
