This document presents the protocol for a scoping review which aims to answer the broad research question “How have Natural Language Processing methods been applied to the study of bipolar?” The review aims to describe the current applications of Natural Language Processing including the methods used and the intervention that the methodology addresses, to understand the clinical questions that have been addressed by the research, and to identify current gaps in this area of research.
