This report for the Ethical Trading Initiative investigated value chain restructuring in the UK apparel industry. Accelerated by the rise of fast fashion, it found significant minimum wage violations and increasing precarity at work and in employment contracts. Public as well as private regulatory and enforcement systems and practices were found to be largely inefficient.
