Projected area (b) time series of two MBH oscillators interacting via attractive and delay coupling. A delay of 0.14 s ( approximately 30 percent of the time period) with a gain factor of 0.8 was used. The two oscillators were in a synchronized state when the delay coupling was switched on at t approximately equal to 4 s. After this, both the oscillators eventually go to a fixed point. These oscillations are restored as the delay coupling was switched off at t approximately equal to 27 s. The two oscillators eventually go to a synchronized state as attractive coupling is still on. The video corresponding to the given timeseries, showing the entire off-on-off sequence, is provided here (figure8_video.avi).
