High-resolution X-ray tomography (voxel size = 5.27 um) of a Nylon6.6 electrospun hierarchical assembly, mimicking the hierarchical structure of a natural tendon or ligament. The electrospun bundles of aligned nanofibers inside the structures, simulate tendons and ligaments fascicles. The electrospun sheaths, that groups the bundles, mimic the endotenon/endoligament membranes. An external sheath of nanofibers simulates the epitenon/epiligament membrane.
