The Department of Biology and The Ingram School of Engineering at Texas State University and Texas A&M University collaborate in a “camera trap” project to monitor

species from images within Texas, USA. This Data file contains the experiment samples for the research work of  wild animal species recognition (snake, lizard and toad) by image classification using computer vision algorithms and machine learning techniques.

This research was funded by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bastrop Utilities HCP, Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute, Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, and the Texas Research Incentive Program.
