On September 21, 2022, the first specimen of Scythris sinensis (Felder & Rogenhofer, 1875) (Lepidoptera: Scythrididae) for Belgium was photographed in Ruisbroek in the Province of Antwerp. Hostplants are Chenopodium album L. (white goosefoot) and Atriplex patula L. (spear saltbush) (Amaranthaceae). This species is mentioned here for the first time for the Belgian fauna.
