Parameter Orientasi Tafsiran Al-Quran Dalam Pembangunan Psikoterapi Abad Ke-21
After the world transitioned to the 21st century, changes in the theoretical and practical dimensions of psychotherapy have been innovated to become more flexible. The changing trend opens up space for the development of complementary mechanisms in mainstream psychotherapy guided by various religious sources and spiritual values. Accordingly, various psychotherapy development initiatives oriented towards the Quranic exegesis have been produced by various parties. Among them, such as the integration of the content of the Qur'an in the Western psychological model or the mechanism of mainstream psychotherapy and intervention in the framework of clinical medicine. Thus, based on a thematic retrospective analysis method, this study aims to present a parameter of the formulation of the orientation of the Quranic exegesis in the field of psychotherapy in the 21st century. Specifically, this parameter plays a role in guiding the flexibility of the Quranic exegesis in psychotherapy based on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5) classification. Overall, the complete interpretation of 72 verses of the Quran that talk about the soul has been comprehensively analysed and mapped in parallel with the DSM-5 classification. After all, this orientation parameter of Quranic exegesis will facilitate the application process of Quranic interpretation as a mainstream psychotherapy mechanism. In conclusion, the development of psychotherapy throughout the 21st century proves the importance and robustness of the Quranic exegesis as a mental health care mechanism. Therefore, it is not an exaggeration that the orientation of the Quranic exegesis in the field of psychotherapy can be dignified as a mainstream complementary psychotherapy mechanism of the 21st century.
