Samples were taken and treated as described in Fig 1A, chloramphenicol was added to stop translation. B) Western blot against RpoS and the loading control EF-Tu showing RpoS degradation during recovery from phosphate starvation in MG1655, ΔiraP (SB151), ΔssrS::kan (SB470) and Δrsd (SB505) strains. Samples were taken and treated as described in Fig 1A, chloramphenicol was added to stop translation.
