Location of the ten prickly pear clusters from eastern Spain sampled in spring, summer and autumn of 2020 and 2021. Prickly pear cladodes infested by cochineal bugs were sampled. Dark-grey points represent the clusters where the coccinellid Cryptolaemus montrouzieri was sampled. ;Rectangular plastic board with eight feeding depressions where bioassays with Lasius grandis were conducted. Depressions were separated 5 cm. Control (blue) and carminic acid (garnet) sugar solutions were alternated in each row.
