Exploring concepts of compassion in care home settings: A review of the literature.

The aim of this scoping review is to determine the body of existing, published research that explicitly refers to compassion or empathy in the context of care homes. Specifically, this scoping review seeks to clarify the evidence base available around experiences of compassion in care home settings and to examine how the concept of compassion is defined within the extant evidence base and examine whether there is consensus around the definition.
