Specimens of both sexes of Cissites maculata (Swederus 1787), a widely distributed American blister beetle, are
examined and the knowledge of its distribution in Peru is synthesized, also adding a new regional record. Data on its
associations with some species of Xylocopa Latreille 1804 (Hymenoptera: Apidae), issues related to its distribution and
observations on the lack of records in Peru are discussed.
