Venn diagrams displaying the predicted plastid-targeting proteins unique to apple compared to Arabidopsis.

Two plastid-targeting methods, TargetP and a custom analysis method, were used to predict genes encoding plastid localized proteins. Sequences in these data sets were compared to Arabidopsis plastid-targeted proteins from the Chloroplast2010 project using USEARCH. Genes not clustered to Arabidopsis were compared between prediction methods displaying a high agreement between the methods. Venn diagrams were constructed using Venny (Oliveros, 2007).
