TGFβ1 effects on p27 expression and synthesis in the gastric mucosa of 14-day-old rats during fasting.

(A) p27 mRNA levels in the gastric mucosa of pups after 2 h of PBS and TGFβ1 gavage. β-actin was used as control. (n) = 5 pups at each condition. Analyses were performed in duplicates. (B) Immunoblotting for p27 protein levels in fasted pups treated as indicated with cycloheximide (CHX) to inhibit protein synthesis. All samples were collected after 2 h of treatment. β-actin was used as loading control. Each band represents one animal and fold changes are shown as means ± SD.
