Infected mice i.p. inoculated with 102 RH tachyzoites of T. gondii from different groups were killed at 9-10 days p.i. Metachromatic MCs (arrows) were evaluated in spleen tissue from uninfected mouse treated with PBS (a), infected control mouse displaying a degranulated MC (b), uninfected mouse treated with C48/80 (c) and infected mouse treated with C48/80 (d), both displaying degranulated MCs; uninfected mouse treated with DSCG (e) and infected mouse treated with DSCG, both displaying intact MCs (f).
