Human sigmoid colon specimens in the basal state (Ctrl) and during mucosal incubation (Treated) with α-hemolysin 60 nM (filled triangles: n = 5; m = 4), 90 nM (empty squares: n = 3; m = 3) and 120 nM (filled circles: n = 6; m = 6). Electrical parameters were measured as reported in legend of Fig. 3. Each data point represents the average±S.E.M. of measurements in n specimen from m mucosae.
