Detergent lysis of virions.

Virus was treated with detergent (0.2 mM Triton X-100) in the presence or absence of S100. At the time points shown, samples were subjected to ultracentrifugation, and the amount of p24 in the (A) supernatant and (B) pellet fractions was determined. The data are representative of at least two independent experiments.
