UMAP visualization of integrated taPVAT and BAT snRNAseq data grouped by (A) sample, (B) adipose tissue source, and (C) Leiden cluster at a resolution of 1.0 chosen to best capture distinct clusters. (D) Heatmap of the top 4 differentially expressed genes (markers) between individual Leiden clusters and all other clusters. (E) Gene module scores for each Leiden cluster using previously identified top 50 mouse and human white adipose tissue (WAT) marker genes (Emont et al., 2022) as gene module. (F) Gene module scores for each cluster using top 50 previously identified BAT cell type markers (Sun et al., 2020). (G) Marker genes for Leiden cluster 18 which was not clearly identified using examined previously published markers. For interactive and high resolution visualization of clusters in panels A-C the data has been uploaded to the Broad Single Cell Portal (see materials and methods).
