The economics of floating offshore wind – A comparison of different methods

This is part of a conference paper submitted to RENEW 2020 in Lisbon. Existing literature on techno-economic assessment of offshore wind technologies is reviewed to analyse the suitability of the previously used methods to evaluate upcoming floating offshore wind projects. For this purpose, existing studies are compared with existing deployments, and suggestions for common assumptions and approaches to facilitate technology comparison are introduced.
