The circles of scientific hell

Infographic. Science has its fair share of dodgy activity, ranging from rushed, sloppy work, to serious fraud and harmful, unethical research. This illustration allocates different kinds of misconduct to the conceptual structure of Dante's Circles of Hell. Designed for use with undergraduates and beyond, this cartoon includes common kinds of academic misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, ai offloading) in the broader context of misconduct in scientific knowledge production more broadly.
