Transient absorbance at 436 nm after nanosecond photolysis of S. microcephalus Hb 1-CO (A), Hb 2-CO (B) and Hb 3-CO (C) at pH 7.4, 25°C, equilibrated with 0.1 and 1 atm CO (grey line). N(t) denotes the fraction of deoxy molecules (normalised absorption change). The black curves are the result of a fit with a sum of two stretched exponential and two exponential relaxations. The corresponding fractions of R and T forms and their binding rate constants are reported in Table 4.
