Number of workers in Poland grew over past years, mostly due to entering the labour market by large cohorts born in 80s. This growth seems to be quite evenly dispersed among different sections of labour market. Share of workers employed in “Agriculture, forestry, hunting and fishery” section was shrinking slowly in years 2005-2008, but then start to grow again, and eventually in 2013 reached 21.4%, which is the same value as for the year 2005.

Unsurprisingly, share of workers employed in “Agriculture, forestry, hunting and fishery” section varies significantly among regions. Minimal share of workers employed in this section in powiat was 0.36% in 2013. Maximal share was 79,57%. 10% of powiats have 1,8% or less of their population working in professions classified into first section, and 10% have 60,7% or more.

This regional split is visible on the map. Powiats with bigger share of workers employed in first section are concentrated in central and Eastern Poland and are distanced from big cities.
