(A) FoxO1 stimulates ATGL and CGI-58 and suppresses G0S2 expression, and subsequently promotes intrahepatic lipolysis in an ATGL-dependent fashion. (B) Inhibition of FoxO1 expression by palmitate contributes to changes in hepatic triglyceride accumulation at least in part due to the inhibition of ATGL-dependent lipolysis.
