Neighbor-joining analyses were conducted with the Jukes and Cantor model using the PHYLIP package [68]. The sequence of Paenibacillus jamilae CECT 5266T (AJ271157) served as the outgroup. Solid circles indicate that corresponding nodes were also recovered using maximum-likelihood [69] and maximum-parsimony [70] trees.
