Paleomagnetic Modelling of Earth-Pangaea 0-185 Ma - Figures

By reversing the Earth’s ocean basin crust growth pattern over time according to Paleomagnetic North–South pole reversal studies and ocean basin crust age maps we develop a three dimensional Paleomagnetic Pangaea to present Earth model covering the 185 Myr since Pangaea’s breakup in 15 Myr increments. The model obtained is distinct from the Plate Tectonics Pangaea model. We pursued this work to explore subduction rate and other inconsistencies between Paleomagnetic and Plate Tectonics theory.
