LEGO® models of legal problem solving
The repository includes images of LEGO® models built by first-year university law students during activities designed for exploring legal concepts and answering problem questions. The activities were designed and delivered by Marton Ribary (Royal Holloway, University of London) and Antony Starza-Allen (University of Surrey).
The images correspond to the following events:
"s" = LEGO® and Contract: First student workshop held at the University of Surrey School of Law in Guildford (UK) on 4 December 2023.
"r" = LEGO® and Contract: An experimental student workshop for visualising concepts and problem questions in contract law held at the Department of Law and Criminology of Royal Holloway, University of London in Egham (UK) on 28 February 2024.
"v" = LEGO® for Contract: Revision days held at the Department of Law and Criminology of Royal Holloway, University of London in Egham (UK) on 12 December 2024 (v101-v112, v201-v209, v301-311, v401-v412) and 1 April 2025 (v113-v120, v210-v213, v312-v316, v413-v417).
In the set of images beginning with "v", the first digit of the three-digit number indicates the stage in which the LEGO model was created. The four stages are stage 1 icebreaker, stage 2 exploring legal concepts, stage 3 problem solving (narrative) and stage 4 problem solving (abstract). For example, "v101" is the first image created in the stage 1 icebreaker activity, "v201" is the first image created in the stage 2 exploring legal concepts activity.
