Effects of topographic position and day were significant and are shown while litter source effects were not significant and are not included (Table 4). Data are separated between the L and FH layers (panels A and B, respectively). Standard errors are included. Note that the scale for the FH-layer plot has a larger range because of greater moisture contents. Weather variables (C) were measured at the VFEF headquarters (see Fig 2 for location). A wetting rainfall occurred early on 22 May 2010 (day zero).
