This work investigates the possibilities of practical applications
and the available theoretical tools for analysis and design of
closed-loop systems with real-time microprocessor based controllers.
It is intended to serve as a first stage of a more extended work to
be carried out in the Department together with the working group in
Electric and Electro-hydraulic microprocessor controlled servo drives.
