A mixed-method prospective study was conducted. Multivariate analysis and qualitative interviews were performed to identify factors associated with ONS intake and patient compliance.Of 162 gastrointestinal cancer patients provided with an ONS prescription, the median of mean ONS intake is 250.00 (IQR,125.00-333.72)kcal/d, and the median of mean patient compliance was 50.00%(IQR,25.00%-90.48%). Multivariate analysis indicated that BMI<18.5kg/m2 (β=-0.20P=0.01) and given an explicit daily prescribed amount of ONS (β=0.20P=0.004) were significant factors associated with more ONS intake.
