HivDB is a proof of concept display of a pipeline tool designed to collect and organize genomic data in order to optimize down stream analyses. Utilizing genbank files, genomes are parsed into their respective genes and saved with any appropriate meta data in FASTA formatted files. The resulting files allow the sequence data to be efficiently queried based on several parameters including country of isoloation, date, and accession number. This public RESTful webservice exposes the results of the pipeline on public HIV sequence data from NCBI.

These are the source GenBank files used to build our site.
