To understand the effect of sugar concentration on
behaviour of nectarivorous birds at sugar water feeders we recruited 17 volunteer gardens with no previous feeding history in
Auckland, New Zealand. We installed Tui Nectar Feeders™ and motion cameras in each garden and randomly assigned either 10 or 20% sugar
concentration to each garden. This dataset is the summary of all the records of
sugar water feeder-associated bird behaviour obtained from camera videos in 2020.
