direct behavioural bird observations_existing sugar water feeders_Auckland Dinedin 2018-2019

To understand the seasonal and latitudinal trends in behaviour of nectarivorous birds at sugar water feeders we recruited 16 volunteer gardens with existing populations visiting feeders in Auckland and Dunedin, New Zealand. We conducted a series of direct behavioural observations in every garden in both cities in summer 2018/2019 and winter 2019.This dataset represents all the records of observed sugar water feeder-associated bird behaviour.
