Data for paper titled "Extended Parental Care in the Mass Provisioning Silk Wasp, Microstigmus rosae"

To investigate whether the presence of adults on the nest directly impacts offspring survival in the mass provisioning M. rosae, we conducted an adult-removal experiment. To do this, we permanently removed adult females from 14 experimental nests, while in 15 control nests, females were removed and immediately released nearby. We collected nests after a 10-day interval and analysed the effect of our experimental treatment on the number and condition of brood.
