The sampling was carried out in spring 2019 with an optical spectrometer, to measure the fractions of PM10, MP2.5, PM1 and the number and the surface of the particles.Sampling was performed by a GRIMM spectrometer, Mini-LAS 11-E model, located at 1.75 m above ground level according to the protocol for the exposure of the population to urban pollution. A time resolution of 1 minute was used, for two periods of 30 minutes to measure the fractions of PM10, PM2.5, and PM1 during one period, and the surface distribution and the number of particles during the other. The spectrometer has a laser diode with a wavelength in the visible range of 660nm. The intensity of the laser beam can be modulated, allowing it to detect particles between 0.25μm and 32μm and classify into 31 channels within the range.
