This dataset accompanies the pre-print "Benthic habitat mapping: A review of three decades of mapping biological patterns on the seafloor" submitted to EarthArXiv, which is currently under review in Estuarine Coastal and Shelf Science. It contains data from a quantitative review of 624 benthic habitat mapping studies, each of which present mapped results of benthic mapping initiatives.
