The data presented here comes from a craniometric and genetic study into commensal rodent movements through the Nusa Tenggara island chain, Indonesia. It includes cranial measurements of three rat species - Rattus rattus, Rattus exulans, and Rattus hainaldi, mtDNA haplotypes and nuclear microsatellite genotypes for Rattus rattus, and mtDNA haplotypes for Rattus exulans and Rattus argentiventer from Asia. This dataset is discussed and used in a detailed study published by Louys et al. 2020.
