The data set and code for our analysis on the effects of warm ocean conditions and old-forest loss on long-term occupancy of the Marbled Murrelet. Consists of the following files:

1. Betts_et_al_data.RData
This is the file containing the data used in all analyses and includes the detection histories and covariates from surveys.

2. model.structures.R
This file contains the model structures (combinations of covariates, by name, used in each model) for all 16 models presented in the paper.

3. script.modelfitting.model4.example.R
This file contains an example, for a single model (model 4 presented in the paper), of the model fitting procedure used.

4. script.model.resutls.comparison.R
This file contains code for comparing model runs from the code above (#3) to ensure convergence.
