Pseudogenome of Spea multiplicata and supplement for Isdaner et al., 2024
This dataset primarily consists of a new pseudogenome assembly of the Mexican spadefoot toad, S. multiplicata. The previous, fragmentary genome assembly was improved by the alignment of newly generated Hi-C sequencing data. This assembly was then scaffolded along the existing genome of a congener, S. bombifrons. This dataset additionally contains supplemental data for a manuscript in preparation that reports the first QTL identified in S. multiplicata associated with phenotypic plasticity in tadpoles. These datasets include the output from each QTL scan, and the BLAST results reporting the best match from three species for each gene or transcript found in the 200 Kb window around each identified QTL.
