Pilot data and analysis code for Gibbons, McBride, Venkatasubbaiahm, et al. 2024 pre-registered report
Pilot data for and analysis for the pre-registered report testing theories of consciousness in primates and mice (Gibbons, McBride, Venkatasubbaiahm, et al. 2024).
Contains spiking data from Neuropixels recordings from mice performing a sensory discrimination task, and also experiencing irrelevant stimuli in a different modality.
Python code used to perform analyses and make plots for the pre-registered report also included, along with the outputs from the pilot decoding analysis.
testing_consciousness_pilot.zip contains the following items:
"decode_irrelevant_stimuli.ipynb" was used to run decoding analysis. "decoding_analysis.ipynb", "trial_unit_counts_pilot.ipynb" and "plot_rasters.ipynb" were used to generate figures for the manuscript.
"data" folder contains a folder for each recording session, plus "session_table.csv" which contains relevant information for each session. "channel CCF locations" folder contains subfolders with brain area name and Allen Institute Common Coordinate Framework coordinates for each channel and probe for each mouse. "decoder results" contains the output of "decode_irrelevant_stimuli.ipynb".
