observable states used to build individual capture histories were coded as follows: 0 = individual not seen 1 = individual observed as a non-breeder 2 = individual observed as a failed breeder at the egg stage 3 = individual observed as a failed breeder at the chick stage 4 = individual observed as a successful breeder Individual capture histories are followed by 6 columns indicating groups. Group 1 indicate female of colony 1, Group 2 indicate male of colony 1, Group 3 indicate female of colony 2, Group 4 indicate male of colony 2, Group 5 indicate female of colony 3, Group 6 indicate male of colony 3.
