Mapping QTL for Phytophthora root and crown rot resistance in squash

dataset
posted on 2024-06-11, 06:30 authored by Cornell University, Cornell Institute of Biotechnology, University of Wisconsin Biotechnology Center
We used a biparental squash (Cucurbita pepo) population to map QTL involved in resistance to Phytophthora root and crown rot, caused by the oomycete pathogen Phytophthora capsici. Two approaches were used: bulk segregant analysis with whole genome resequencing (BSA-Seq) in a large F2 population and linkage mapping using a population of 176 F2:3 families.
