We developed a novel index for the degree of frequency modulation of each syllable, named the cvfreq. The cvfreq is a coefficient of variation for the frequency of each syllable. The new version (ver. 9, revision 2) of USVSEG we previously developed (Tachibana et al., 2020 PLOS ONE https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0228907), which is a detection and segmentation system for USVs, outputs the values of the cvfreq. Here, we uploaded the dataset and stats information as supplemental information for the review process.
