BaligaCode and data accompanying manuscript submission entitled "Flight muscle power increases with strain amplitude and decreases with cycle frequency in zebra finches (Taeniopygia guttata)" by JW Bahlman, VB Baliga, and DL Altshuler.
The project uses a muscle work loop technique to examine the limitations of high frequency muscle contraction in the pectoralis muscle of zebra finches. We then compare the efficacy of varying muscle shortening velocity via changes to strain amplitude vs changes to cycle frequency.
The zip file contains all raw data, R code for data analyses and figure creation, and files for the 3D printing of a custom brace used during work loop procedures to keep the bird in place.
Please unzip the file and consult the README for further details.
