Nineteen volunteers (14 males and 5 females; age range: 18--56 years) from different cultural backgrounds participated in the data collection experiment. These participants were all students recruited from Simon Fraser University, Canada. The experiment was set up to induce stress in an alternating manner: positive video (nonstress induction) followed by negative video (stress induction).
