The Altmetric release of the top 500 research outputs of 2023. We broke publications down by field of research, using the ANSRC 2020 Fields of Research (FoRs); the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); and exclusively regional collaboration. These are the research output (articles and books) with the most attention from news media and blogs, social media, policy documents, YouTube, Wikipedia, and patent applications, as well as research output that was not only highly mentioned overall, but had broad attention across multiple areas of attention: policy sources, social media, and scientific citations alike. The code used to generate the dataset from the Digital Science BigQuery datasets is attached as a text file.
