Research Gap:

Nigeria is a country in the West African sub region with an estimated population of over 200 Million with only about 50% of the said population having access to electricity supply, although not adequate in supply. And for the country to meet up with the power supply of other developed countries of the world, the existing gap between energy demand and supply must be carefully planned and met. Recently, solar energy is rapidly gaining the relevance as an important means of expanding renewable energy uses. Different mechanisms are being deployed to improve the output of the solar cell to reduce the cost. Solar tracking system is one of the most outstanding and unique techniques to enhance the efficiency of the solar cells by tracking the sun [1]. The concept of solar tracking device was adopted, and the uniqueness of our design is that it takes into consideration/make use of the solar irradiance data of the given location as well as the pressure per time to carry out its decision for the rotation and tracking of the direct [not diffused/cloudy] radiations.
