Automatic detection algorithm based on cross-correlation of sound spectra with example templates. Compiled to run using Matlab Runtime on PC computer systems. Developed by Elephant Listening Project at Cornell University. Designed to locate gunshot sounds. Templates are nine shotgun signals recorded at 4kHz sampling rate in forest habitats in Gabon and Cameroon.
