Holistic view and assessment of older people's owner occupied residential environments in relation to 'wellbeing'

The aim of this research is to provide a holistic viewpoint and assessment of older people’s residential environments in relation to their ‘wellbeing. The research will develop a framework that encourages key decision-makers to systematically assess wellbeing of older people in residential environments taking account of their values, needs and abilities, everyday activities, indoor and outdoor settings. This framework will particularly be useful to assess owner occupied homes of older people which represents 50.3% of their housing stock.
